So it's time for my last blog. This is Colin here reporting on a concert I went to at Manning Bar in USYD. If you didn't already know Manning Bar is a great place to see acts and bands from all over the world. I saw Soilwork on the 3rd of October.
The show was amazing but I could just be saying that because I'm a massive fan haha. As for a review of manning bar I'd have to say it's one of my favorite spots in Sydney to catch a gig. It's very close distance to Redfern station, about a 10 minute walk and is located in the heart of Sydney University, which is great for any students there!
It's a small, close and intimate venue that's perfect to watch a band.... Well provided they're not insanely popular like say One Direction, that's better left to bigger venues like Acer Arena! The beer prices were pretty typical of a venue bar ranging from $5 upwards depending on what you want to drink.
The acoustics of Manning Bar are really good and it's got a great speaker set up, so no worries there!
The outdoors area was great to catch a break from the loud bands playing, and have a chat with mates. The concert ran from about 8 till around 12:30am and the tickets were $65 or $70 at the door, so overall a pretty great way to spend a night if you like rocking out! Catch Soilwork next time they're in Sydney if you can. Well that's it for me, catch you later!

The Great Barrier Reef is blessed with the breathtaking beauty
of the world's largest coral reef. The reef contains an abundance of marine
life and comprises of over 3000 individual reef systems and coral cays and
literally hundreds of picturesque tropical islands with some of the world’s
most beautiful sun-soaked, golden beaches.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven wonders of the
natural world, you can understand why. It is larger than the Great Wall of
China and the only living thing on earth visible from space.
Cairns are the perfect destination from which to explore the
many wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. The unspoilt islands and beaches,
spectacular wildlife and the pristine scenery of the surrounding tropical rainforests
all accessible are from Cairns.
Peppers Coral Coast Resort has been purpose-designed with wide verandas and
incredible panoramic ocean views to enhance the tropical lifestyle North
Queensland is envied for.
I’m Alexia, I am from Beijing, North of China. Beijing is the capital of China and one of the most populous cities in the world. The population as of 2012 was 20,693,000. It is the second largest city in China and is the nation's political, cultural and educational centre. Over the past 3,000 years. The name Beijing, which means "Northern Capital" was applied to the city in 1403 during the Ming Dynasty to distinguish the city from Nanjing (the "Sourthern Capital") Being capital of the People's Republic of China, it is the nation's political, economic, cultural, educational and international trade and communication centre.
Whether you plan to buy curios and tourist souvenirs with
traditional Chinese flavour, or you are keen on seeking quality products from
world famous brands, the most famous and popular shopping destinations are the Yenta and
Gumbo Shopping Malls, Xian Street and streets near Tiananmen Square such as the
Wangfujing.
Traditional performances such as the Beijing Opera, for the stranger who wishes to become acquainted with the city,
a stroll along Hangman Street to Tiananmen Square is highly recommended.
It is thought that Beijing roast duck, like the tradition of
roast turkey in America, owes its origin to the roast goose that is still
popular in Europe on festive occasions. Westerners like Marco Polo brought
certain European customs to China and may have introduced the concept of
roasting poultry to their Chinese hosts during the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368).
The Great Wall, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was
listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Just like a gigantic dragon,
the stretching approximately 8,851.8 kilometres (5,500 miles) from east
to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years,
Today, I was read a story about the young modeling
in ABC newspaper, the idea is that becoming a young modeling is a big issue in nowadays.
As same as the most things, becoming a young modeling not only has the
advantages but also has the disadvantages. In my own opinion, I think the advantages
are more than the disadvantages if a girl chooses as a modeling when they are
very young.
Many people view modeling as a fascinating
career. Today, more and more young girls are in the hopes of making a name for
themselves in the modeling world. They are attracted to the lifestyle and the
benefits that modeling can bring, in this case, they try their best to make
stronger performer. Here are also some of the benefits to improve my opinion,
and they making modeling a competitive field.
First things first, modeling is the new experiences for all the young people. Becoming a model, will expose the young people to lots of different skills, such as the communication skills, promotes proper posture and has much more change to join the different party and can apply to other careers.

Secondly,
is the free stuff. There are many perks
to becoming a model. Mostly, models can be able to receive things for free, in
this case, such as the professional photographs, tickets to events, musician,
and art exhibition and also invitations to the parties.
Thirdly, is the attractive salary. As a model, you can make anywhere $200 a day
to $1,000 a day. Try to think, is you do the other job, such like the office
staff, it doesn’t make this much and also you have no freelance. As a model, it
is not only easy to make money but also have the own free time to relax.

Lastly, travel is one of the biggest benefits for the modeling. Such like
for the work or the photograph, the models may secure projects that require to
travel internationally ot domestically. And also the company you are work in,
may also give you a travel allowance and stipend while working.
Earth to Table
Earth to Table Bondi Junction
This cafe is a favourite of my partner and mine for a while. The idea behind Earth to table is a whole food is the philosophy of whole foods where many of the ingredients are prepared in a holistic way that dose not use cooking or heat to prepare the meals, thus keeping the most nutrition with the food upon serving. as many people are aware or have food allergies these days going out can be complicated for some students my partner suffers from IBS and has a low fodmap diet. thus it great to come here are all the food she can eat at her leisure
The cafe has tables inside and around the counter but we chose to sit outside the courtyard where it is bright and airy.
We love the chilli and herb kelp bread is has such strong aromas and tastes great.made from over six vegetables in a thick tomato sauce dizzeled with sour cream, herbs brazil and linseeds. $14.50 The prices are not cheap, but the food is very filling the herb and kelp bread has an interesting consistency which compliments the chilli when eaten together.

The cakes are to die for like the choc hazelnut mousse cake that S has ordered. Covered in crushed hazelnuts and made from cocoa the flavour is so rich and tasty. the cakes are prepared from all natural ingredient and have not been cooked, which they use a avocado base for the cakes body.

Baranows Cigar Bar
So I ventured through the Deep South and finding myself in the heart of Sydney’s rebel sister Melbourne (one of my previous hometowns), I revisited an old hangout of mine.
(Source: http://bentabacco.com/)
The place is named Baranows, after the owner, and in short it is a cigar bar, which in fact is one of the only places in Melbourne where smoking is permitted inside. But I’ll get back to that.
Walking in the back door you find yourself in an antechamber displaying a huge variety of cigars from around the world. Ranging from about $5 to beyond the couple thousands one can find the perfect cigar.
(source: http://jamesridenour.com/2012/baranows-cigar-and-whiskey-lounge/)
You enter the next room, a dingey (but large) lounge area clouded in smoke, with that nostalgic chemical odour that would follow your grandfather around when you were young. Framed pictures, vintage lamps and ferny pot plants which adorn the warmly-lit room, the library of drinks lit up in the corner, the formal but not-too-serious atmosphere all add up to an interesting feel of class not often found in Inner-city Melbourne. Sitting down on a scruffy old sofa, the waitress presents you a large, bound drinks list, an encyclopedia of whiskies, ales and rums, and much more. Anything not mentionned in here will inevitably be cockily revealed by the waiters. Ordering a whiskey sour, you observe the patrons: elderly couples on a double date, Indian men doing business, grey suited Mediterranean men reading foreign newspapers, possible connections to the Mafia.
(Source: http://bentabacco.com/)
You are presented with a form. It is a requirement for buying customers to join the Baranows club as a member. Luckily, a one-time membership is free, and for an out of town guy like me this seems the best option! The mandatory membership must be some way to get around the indoor smoking ban, no cigarettes though. Good thing they have it, without the smoky aura you wouldn’t feel as if you were in a Cuban dictator’s lounge room.
I’ve always enjoyed the exclusivity of this place. It’s an escape from the all too common simplicity of other bars nearby, and it is a gem which I hope isn’t discovered too quickly. Having said that, you can find Baranows on the corner of Burwood and Glenferrie Rd, hidden in plain sight as an old bank.
